How to use ALEX
The pricing of the service is based on three different factors: the distance, time and the transport method used. The calculation of the order fare includes a base fare, time at pick-up location and distance between pick-up and drop-off location. Following are the prices for the different types of transportation.

The order can be cancelled free of charge within the first five minutes of making the request. After five minutes, a cancellation fee of £3 will be charged. If your messenger has already started to perform the service, you will be charged the service fee or the £3 cancellation fee, whichever is higher. The fee for the service will start counting once the messenger reaches the pick-up place.
After leaving the pick-up location, the order cannot be cancelled and you will be charged the full amount of the service.

To add a new payment card, please open the main menu bar, go to payment and press the card icon at the top right of your screen. Then, add all the card details you want to use.

After connecting you with one of Alex’s brilliant messengers, they will go to the pick-up location you specified. After finding the item you asked for and before buying it on your behalf, Alex will ask you to approve the cost. A notification will be sent to you and Alex will not pay for your item until you approve the cost. The time taken for you to respond to the cost approval will be calculated in the service fee as the time at the pick-up location.

As we are a delivery service of virtually anything, our service can be buying and paying something on your behalf or picking up something without Alex having to pay for it. This question clarifies the service you require from us.

Your items are safe with Alex app, our partner messengers are the best in town, chosen for their extensive experience in the delivery industry. We track the orders and monitor our services. Yes, we do. We can buy alcohol or cigarettes on your behalf as long as you are above 18. After 10 p.m we cannot buy or deliver any alcohol due to existing legislation. If we are buying alcohol or cigarettes on your behalf, the messenger has to ask you for your ID and check if you are above 18. If you refuse to show your ID or you are under 18, the messenger will refuse to give you the items you purchased and you will be charged the whole service fee. If we paid the cost of those items on your behalf and they were not refundable, we have the right to charge you for the cost of the purchased items.

This really depends on the item size that you want to be delivered, how fast you need it and how long is the distance between the pick-up location and drop-off location. A cyclist or a person by-foot cannot move a TV but a car can. On the other hand, a car cannot enter to the main shopping street so a messenger by-foot or bike might be a better choice.
